MINISTRY NAME: COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN 

WHO DOES MINISTRY SERVE: the Church, the Parish, and the larger community

WHAT DOES MINISTRY DO: unite Catholic women of the parish in the purpose, direction and action in religious, educational, social and economic fields; stimulate these engaged women to greater efficiency and usefulness in meeting the needs of the community and rendering support to the parish.

THE PRIMARY GOALS THE MINISTRY SEEKS TO ACHIEVE:

1. Serving the Lord and the Church

2. enjoy fun activities while giving of time, treasure and talent

3. developing leadership and service among our members while forming a social network with women of the church.

HOW DOES MINISTRY SEEK TO ACHIEVE THESE GOALS: by providing opportunities: to reach out to human trafficking victims and children aging out of foster care, by contributing to: Respect Life, Water for Life, Dress a Child, Haitian Mass for Layettes, collections for the homeless and needy of the parish, by legislative advocacy; by also providing a variety of social activities such as: Annual Meet and Greet Pot Luck, Christmas Brunch, Rosary Making, Bowling, Bunco, Garage Sale, White Elephant Auction, Guest Speakers, among other planned events; and by serving the parish in a variety of ways such as donating money for the repair of roofs and purchasing bunk beds, planning and giving receptions for the dedication of the chapel and for priests' anniversaries and other needs that present themselves.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF MINISTRY MEMBERS: set the example for the parish by showing caring and compassion and by sharing our time, talent and treasure where needed.

GIFTS/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS NEEDED BY MEMBERS TO SERVE IN MINISTRY: a willingness and commitment to serve.

TIME COMMITMENT REQUIRED BY MEMBER TO SERVE: whatever time a member has available to give.

WHEN DOES MINISTRY MEET: the fourth Tuesday of each month.

WHERE DOES MINISTRY MEET: the Parish Hall.

TRAINING OR OTHER SUPPORT PROVIDED TO MEMBERS: leadership training.

CCW will resume activities Tuesday, August 22 with a potluck at 6:30 pm in the Parish Hall. Stop by and join us!


CCW is having a bunco Tuesday, August 29 at 7:00 pm in the Parish Hall. Cost is $15. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Refreshments will be served.
