MINISTRY NAME:  FAMILIES EVANGELIZING

WHO DOES MINISTRY SERVE: Couples, youth, and children, grandparents

WHAT DOES MINISTRY DO: Evangelize and catechize families in the faith & life (strong emphasis on Catholic Social Teaching and the 5 tasks of the family according to John Paul II in “familiaris consortio”

THE PRIMARY GOALS THE MINISTRY SEEKS TO ACHIEVE:

1. Form families that pray

2. Form families that reflect (study) on the faith

3. Have families that put their faith in transformative action

HOW DOES MINISTRY SEEK TO ACHIEVE THESE GOALS: Retreats and unique formation workshops

RESPONSIBILITIES OF MINISTRY MEMBERS: Serve, witness, evangelize, teach, lead, live their baptismal call

GIFTS/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS NEEDED BY MEMBERS TO SERVE IN MINISTRY: willingness to be a disciple of Jesus

TIME COMMITMENT REQUIRED BY MEMBER TO SERVE: 6 to 8 hours monthly approximately

WHEN DOES MINISTRY MEET: Every Wednesday – 8:00 to 10pm

WHERE DOES MINISTRY MEET: At Holy Rosary-St Richard

TRAINING OR OTHER SUPPORT PROVIDED TO MEMBERS: Institute of Prayer, Study, and Action Pupils
