MINISTRY NAME: MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP ("GOD'S SQUAD")

WHO DOES MINISTRY SERVE: Middle school parish youth (grades 6th.8th)

WHAT DOES MINISTRY DO: Read and discuss the week's Gospel. Apply the Gospel and other church teachings to daily interactions. Interact through games and offer community service.

THE PRIMARY GOALS THE MINISTRY SEEKS TO ACHIEVE:

1. Become more familiar with the Gospel/ church teachings.

2. Help others through community service opportunities.

3. Growth in our Catholic faith.

HOW DOES MINISTRY SEEK TO ACHIEVE THESE GOALS: Meet monthly and encourage participation leading to growth in the Catholic faith.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF MINISTRY MEMBERS: Coordination of meetings, games, activities, community service opportunities.

GIFTS/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS NEEDED BY MEMBERS TO SERVE IN MINISTRY: Love for the Catholic faith and wanting to spread God's good news. Adults must complete Virtus training and meet other Archdiocese of Miami requirements related to ministry pertaining to youth.

TIME COMMITMENT REQUIRED BY MEMBER TO SERVE: varies, because most of our own growth is then shared with the youth.

WHEN DOES MINISTRY MEET: Every 2"d Friday of the month (variations may occur depending on other church or service activities). Best to call/ text coordinator, Jeannie Cruz for details 305-244-2268.

WHERE DOES MINISTRY MEET: Church religious education building - youth center, or other assigned classroom.

TRAINING OR OTHER SUPPORT PROVIDED TO MEMBERS: Archdiocese of Miami Virtus training.
