MINISTRY NAME: RESPECT LIFE

WHO DOES MINISTRY SERVE: Pregnant mothers who have financial and physical needs for baby.

WHAT DOES MINISTRY DO: Holds fundraisers (Baby Bottle Campaign, baby shower) for South-Dade Pregnancy Center; supports Pro-Life activities – Life Choice; 40 Days for Life

THE PRIMARY GOALS THE MINISTRY SEEKS TO ACHIEVE:

1. Support South-Dade Pregnancy Center

2. Encourage Parishioners to participate in Pro-Life activities

3. Advertise Pro-Life activities in Bulletin and from the pulpit, and at Council for Catholic Women meetings

HOW DOES MINISTRY SEEK TO ACHIEVE THESE GOALS: Announcements in Bulletin; information pamphlets in Church, speaking at Council for Catholic Women meetings; personally engaging fellow parishioners.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF MINISTRY MEMBERS: Make parishioners aware of South-Dade Pregnancy Center and its services and counseling provided; Pro-Life events such as 40 Days for Life, Baby Bottle campaign, Baby Shower, and Life Choice.

GIFTS/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS NEEDED BY MEMBERS TO SERVE IN MINISTRY: Serious pro-life advocate; personally proactive. Members are required to attend Virtus training and comply with other requirements of Archdiocese of Miami to serve in this type of ministry.

TIME COMMITMENT REQUIRED BY MEMBER TO SERVE: Volunteer at South-Dade Pregnancy Center four hours per week; other hours needed per above responsibilities.

WHEN DOES MINISTRY MEET: Monthly at Council of Catholic Women meetings.

WHERE DOES MINISTRY MEET: Parish Center; volunteer hours at South-Dade Pregnancy Center

TRAINING OR OTHER SUPPORT PROVIDED TO MEMBERS: Virtus training; Pro-Life Workshop
