OCIA, which stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, is a process that the Catholic Church uses to help non-Catholics learn more about the Church. Through this process, individuals who desire to become Catholic can receive guidance and support. Additionally, OCIA also benefits baptized Catholics who have not yet received the Sacraments of Initiation, such as Holy Communion and Confirmation.
Each week we will examine the tenets of the Roman Catholic Church and discuss the Catholic lifestyle in today’s society. Sessions are held on Mondays at 7 pm and Sacraments will be conferred during and after the Easter season.
Our next OCIA process will begin on Monday, September 9th. Please submit the online application.
Once the application is approved, we ask for a $50.00 donation to help pay for materials and other expenses. You may give your donation online, by phone, 305-233-8711 ext. 100, or in person at our office front desk.
For any additional information, please contact Fr. Kevin McGrady, O.SS.T. at (305) 233-8711, ext 124, or email: kmcgrady@hrsrcs.org.
